Context

Eyawork is an AI-native HR operations platform, now live and used by large organisations. It brings recruiting, payroll, reporting and employee management together in one place.

We built it as a team spread across several countries, and I was one of its product designers. The product had to be extremely granular, because HR rules, structures and permissions differ from one company to the next, and from one country to the next.

Eyawork platform architecture: modules for teams and workflows, workforce data, governance and automation, connected through an intelligence layer
Many modules, one platform, one intelligence layer.

The thread of this story

All-in-one vs simplicity

Every module and every granular option adds weight. Get it wrong, and the product that does everything becomes the product where nobody can find anything. In workshops with users across the modules, one question kept coming back: who actually needs this, and when? The honest answer was rarely “everyone”.

We didn’t want to choose. So we made the platform adapt to each company and each person, in three ways.

01

Setup decides the detail

Onboarding is where each company tells Eyawork how it works. That setup decides how much detail people see across the whole platform. A single shop sees a simple record; a group across countries sees every field it needs. And it’s editable at any time, as the company changes.

02

Each role sees its own platform

An employee, a manager, HR and finance don’t need the same screens. Role-based views give each person a focused version of Eyawork: their own modules, their own numbers, their own next step.

  • Employee

    4 of 8 modules

Sees: Home, Payroll, Time off, Documents.

  • Manager

    5 of 8 modules

Sees: Home, People, Recruiting, Time off, Reports.

  • HR

    Every module

Sees: Home, People, Recruiting, Payroll, Time off, Documents, Reports, Settings.

  • Finance

    4 of 8 modules

    Sees: Home, Payroll, Reports, Settings.

One platform underneath. A different window for every role.

03

One pattern, every module

Recruiting, payroll, reporting and people all share the same layouts and components. Learn one module, and you already know your way around the next. For a product this big, consistency is what makes it feel small.

Different content, same foundations: wherever you are, you always know how to move around.

AI, built in

AI isn’t a feature bolted onto Eyawork; it runs through the whole platform. It parses CVs and extracts skills, experience and education. It raises alerts when something needs attention, and it makes suggestions that help people decide faster across hiring, payroll and workforce planning.

Our job as designers was to make all that intelligence feel calm and trustworthy: clear about what the AI did, easy to check, and always leaving the final call to people.

Result: 45% time saved for recruiters on first screenings, assisted by AI.

AI reads the CV; the profile fills itself in, with every extracted detail clearly marked.

Outcome

Eyawork is live and already manages more than 57,000 employees at enterprise scale. Recruiting, payroll, reporting, documents and employee management live in one platform that still feels like one product, whoever you are and however big your company is.
